Multi-touch replacement program for iPhone 6 Plus

Post by miskatjahan »

The 2nd stage covering the mobile driving license is October 2017. The 3rd stage covering the mobile registration card and third party liability insurance at the end of 2017. Stages 2 and 3 may be implemented earlier depending on the progress of the works. Who will be responsible for the implementation and implementation of the programme? The program will be implemented entirely within the Ministry of Digitization Group. The Ministry of Interior and Administration was invited to cooperate. The Ministry of Digitization will perform the coordination and management role, while the NASK Institute and the Central Information Technology Center will perform the executive role ("Solution Center") in the scope of providing the solution and maintaining the infrastructure. Other ministries will act as beneficiaries and business users of the solution.

The involvement of private entities (eg UFG) is also envisaged. The new repair program only applies to iPhone 6 Plus phones where users may experience unresponsive email database display to touch. According to Apple, some iPhone 6 Plus devices may exhibit problems with Multi-Touch functionality. This usually happens when the iPhone is dropped on a hard surface, causing damage and problems with the touch screen. As part of the repair/replacement program, Apple will repair damaged iPhone 6 Plus devices at a price of $149, and in Poland PLN 699. Customers who paid more than PLN 699 for an iPhone repair before the program was launched (before November 17, 2016) can apply for a refund by contacting Apple's support center. iPhone 6 Plus owners began complaining about the multi-touch screen in August this year, when iFixit published a video highlighting the screen defect.

Defective screens have a flickering gray bar at the top of the display, and the screen itself is completely unresponsive or less sensitive to touch. The problem is probably caused by a faulty design of the soldered circuits on the smartphone's motherboard, which is very difficult to fix. It has been speculated that the problem may be related to the same defect that was responsible for the "bandgate" scandal in this particular model. People who have an iPhone 6 Plus with multi-touch issues can visit an Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple's retail store to see if their model is eligible for repair under the $699 Paid Exchange Program.
